About Vetted
I created this site as a space to curate and showcase an emerging category of stylish, cruelty-free pieces. As a life-long animal advocate/activist and a lover of fashion, I have long felt a contradiction between what I wear and what I believe to be ethical. I decided to create VETTED as a way to bridge those often conflicting parts of my life and offer up options to women who want something more from their wardrobe. What you will find here is a guide to shop luxury and stylish pieces, without the guilty conscience.
Thank you for making a concerted effort to buy better!

Beautiful. Wild. Free. Cute. Sneaky. Sly.
All of these words can be used to describe a fox or coyote.

All of these words can also be used to describe a fox or coyote.
I'll admit I'm not a Valentine's Day celebrator (which is ironic because I actually met my now husband on Valentine's Day- cue the cheesy ahh's and ohh's).
Have you ever heard the term GREENWASHING? (and no, it doesn't mean to wash your clothes in your yard 😏)
Could you imagine if you went to buy a pair of shoes and they were made out of puppy skin? Does that sound absurd and sickening? If it does, ask yourself why.
Whenever we reflect on 2020, it will be beyond easy to list the countless reasons why it basically sucked. As with every “new year”, we are all anxious to leave the past behind us and I am onboard with that idea as well.

As shown in yesterday’s post, House of Fluff, the NYC based luxury faux fur outerwear company, is a brand worth having on your radar.
We celebrated the launch of VETTED with a trunk show highlighting two brands that are paving the way in the luxury, cruelty free market.
